Meet the Doctors

Stephen Montoya, DDS

“Dr. Steve,” as he is known by his patients, graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2006. Prior to attending dental School, he attended Portland State University. Dr. Steve completed a Pediatric Dental Residency at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Rhode Island. In 2009, Dr Steve became a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist. Dr. Steve has been married for 14 years and has 3 children. When he is not working, Dr. Steve can be found spending time with his family, swimming, fishing, golfing or playing sand volleyball. He enjoys volunteering in the community where he visits school and head start classes in the area to teach children proper oral habits.

Todd Butler, DDS

Dr. Todd Butler completed dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. Prior to this, he received his undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University, and has gone on to complete a residency program in pediatric dentistry–also at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He is recognized as a specialist in pediatrics by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Butler lives in Queen Creek with his wife, Michele, and their five children. After many years in Texas, the Butlers are glad to be in Arizona closer to family. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, camping outdoors, or working with his hands on carpentry or other projects.

Dr. Spencer Mecham

Dr. Mecham was born and raised here in the Valley. After graduating from Brigham Young University, Dr. Mecham attended the University of Nevada – Las Vegas where he graduated with honors and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society. Dr. Mecham then went on to complete advanced residency training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the University of Colorado.

Besides staying up to date with the latest innovations and technology in orthodontics, Dr. Mecham loves spending time with his wife and three wonderful children.

Dr. Mecham is a Board-certified orthodontist from the American Board of Orthodontics and an active member of the American Association of Orthodontics.

Jason Brady, D.D.S.

Jason Brady, DMD (Dentist Anesthesiologist) started his career as a civil engineer designing subdivisions and site plans for commercial buildings. He completed his undergraduate dental degree at the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 2010. During dental school, he created and implemented an electronic materials request form, quality assurance program and database, and programs to track correspondence between clinical disciplines. He has recently completed a 26-month hospital and private practice based residency in Anesthesia at the University of California Los Angeles in 2012. He has developed an electronic pre-anesthesia evaluation, superbill, consent and health insurance claim form that is being utilized at the University of California Los Angeles. He is a member of the American Society of Dentist Anesthesiologists and a diplomate of the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He practices dental anesthesia in Arizona and southern California.

Dr. Benjamin Chiou, DMD, MSD

dentist Benjamin ChiouDr. Benjamin Chiou graduation from the University of Arizona with a B.S. of Molecular and Cellular Biology. He then went on to receive his DMD and MSD from the University of the Pacific.

Dr. Chiou chose to study orthodontics because he loves to see the difference that a beautiful smile can have on a patient’s life. Dr. Chiou loves spending time with patients and seeing them gain confidence as they progress through treatment. He is looking forward to treating each patient with the best quality orthodontic care.

Dr. Chiou is currently engaged to his fiancée, Jenny. They plan to get married in March 2022. Together they have two dogs, Kygo and Kali, who are both Pomeranian-husky mixes. Outside of the office, Dr. Chiou is an avid fan of all Arizona sports teams: Cardinals, Suns, D-Backs. He also enjoys checking out new restaurants around the valley and reading.
